I was lucky enough to have spent all day Saturday in one at AMP. The student I was teaching had this car, I was able to spend quite a bit of time in it lapping myself, giving people rides etc. I was very impressed by that car, its track manners were really good, even bone stock, chassis, handling balance, power and brakes were all fantastic. It was better than I expected. I would like to own one, but I won't, too much $$....
Yeah I had a big grin after my ride in it. Definitly has gobs of torque and did everything a good track car should. Not that I doubted it before hand, but it was nice to get the real deal. Definitly deserves mention with cars like the Ferrari 360 and Porsche 996TT. Thanks Paul!!
They're surprisingly competent in autocross too. I've seen a few in Ontario do some pretty impressive runs. I wonder if the C6 improves on the formula at all.
The standard C6 is a capable performer as well, almost as stiff stock as previous Z06. Just wait till the new Z06 comes out, rumour has it that the engines will be produced by the same shop that does the lemans engines. Horsepower estimates in the 500 range. Will basically be a lemans car for the street. Watch out viper.
