I know our road down here was very icy on my way to work. Cant comment on the city roads.
Like Scott, can't comment on the city, however Casey just got a call from one of his employees who got past one accident on our road, however is now stuck between another couple accidents the roads are so icy!
1) Sweet! My son will be trilled
2) Crap, my mom just left to go to bridgewater.
i can see the look on my sister's face now...she lives for snow days. teach's the 3rd grade
Tell her to be happy shes not teaching Jr high
I went for a walk this morning in downtown Halifax... one of the most slippery walks I've ever had in my life! Black Ice everywhere, and lots of it was a bit wet making it that much more slippery
be careful it is very icy
Lots of accidents, the roads are a lot more slippery than they look.
It is pretty facking icy out though... I almost fell 3 times so my neighbor decided to drive me so I didn't have to take the bus. Love my neighbors.
City roads seem fine.
Came from Hammonds Plains to Burnside without encountering any ice.
I call BS on this one.
Sidewalks in the city suck. I fell on the way from my parking to the hospital. Am cranky at every person who doesn't salt their walk on Wellington St.
Oh, man, awesome. I was about to use up one of my sick days. Glad I don't have to now!
My kids never get snow days, here in Alberta they never cancel school . It could be -40 and school is still open.
I don't. My car wouldn't make it up our street. The entire thing was black ice.
I put the grips on my shoes for walking on the sidewalks and in my driveway. Other than that, the drive in was ok. Fall River-118-Circ-Bridge-Barrington.
Beware the ICE FOG!
I dont think I lifted my feet off the ground once I hit the pavement.
Pure black ice on my street.
lol the weather eye app on my BB said Ice Fog this morning
If you thought salty fog was bad wait until you see ice fog! Only available in Nova Scotia beginning mid-February 2009.
I actually wiped out in the parking lot outside of my apartment building when I was leaving to walk to the bus stop. I turned around and took a cab to the bus stop
How long is the walk from your house to the bus stop?
just waiting for power failures
time to raise rates!
to battle the ice fog
10-15 minutes when the sidewalks aren't crap. On days like today it would have taken me a lottt longer. I didn't want to fall again
Sounds like you girls need some grip things to put on your shoes. They are sold just about everywhere, and will keep you from slipping most of the time.
Awesome I need to bike to school haha fuck
Ice traction slip ons .... I sell them at my store for 9.99$ when we actually have them in stock.
Lawtons, Shoppers, Canadian Tire, any shoe store, basically every store sells 'em too. I saw a huge display at lawton's yesterday.
I have the Canadian Tire ones....they have studs, and were $9.99.
Wow, everyone has them!!!
The ones we sell have studs on them too!!
Some have coils of wire, some have studs. I like the stud ones.
the coil ones are cheap. The wife had them last year and they broke a few times.
We bought a bunch from Marks before xmas. THey were $19, and they forgot to exclude them on the $10 off cards that you could print out from their website. So a whopping $9 per pair.
Timberlea was fucking mess this morning...
