that is the gayest thing i ever herd, they were in a rally race, and got speeding tickets, yeah like thats right......i'd be fighting that till i won
No, they weren't. They were testing the cars on a public road BEFORE the race and were violating the laws when they did it. It is actually reasonable. There have been a lot of cases of this. There is a reason Rally cars must be totally road legal (did you ever notice that they all have license plates on them?) It's because they do 50-75% of their driving at a Rally on public streets in traffic driving from one stage section to another. When they are doing this they are NOT racing, and as such are subject to the same laws as everybody else.
Err... no actually. Part of the idea behind rally is that you DON'T practice the course ahead of time... that's what the pce notes are for. Besides, they weren't getting fined for running the course to fast, they were fined for speeding on public roads while NOT racing, just driving around.
