I am debating whether to get the 300m f4l IS or the 24-70 F2.8L.

I have 8 photos up for publication in Health Communications Inc. "The Ultimate Gardener" and will be receveing enough to spend on a new lens :D:D

With what I have been mainly shooting lately I'm leaning towards the 300, but I will probably change my mind back and forth again about 10 times, haha

Congrats - I'll just pre-face it by saying that I know you've wanted the 300 for a long time...

however, what are you shooting with these days, and what are you shooting? 300mm for garden pictures?

mostly shooting sports, using 40D, 10-22 50 and 70-200, I have no midrange, but when I had the 17-85 i hardly ever used it. I plan on trying some portrait work in the next while, so that's why I'm considering the 24-70.

I'm hovering over the buy now button at mcbain camera for the 24-70 2.8lL.

My situation is this... I need the 24-70 for stuff I get paid to do. I want the 70-200 2.8L for stuff I want to get paid to do.

fuck it.. I'll buy both. haha That's what Visa is for, isn't it?! :D

Dude, lets go shooting next weekend, you can test out the 24-70 and make a decision (got mine from mcbain also)
