2 part question Where's the best place to buy a set? What are some good winter tires? I don't want anything crazy, just a good solid winter tire.
Goodyear's at Coast Tire are on sale this week..... I heard it on the radio. I've been meaning to go check out the prices.... Few people said their winters are pretty good.
i had a set of Wal-Marts winters for 2 years and they were still like brand new, and i think they were only like $40 each, great tire overall
I've had too many bad experiences with cheap tires lately. No car of mine will ever see discount tires from this day on!
I had bridgestone blizzaks for 2 winters and they are awesome snow and ice tires. Highly recommended!
Hrmm I forget. Mine were 15's (still have em on my steel rims) Just call any bridgestone dealer in halifax and they'll give you a price.
The pirelli ice deal is over. Apparently they bought a shitload of them hence the cheap price. I can get Cooper Wintermasters for $55 /each but they're probably a shitty tire.
Well Cooper isn't exactly a small tire company. They have been manufacturing tires for years and are quite popular in the US for most cars and light truck applications. If you can get them at a great price and they seem to have a nice winter tread pattern then look into them for sure. They would definately be alot better then a no name brand steel belted radial i'm sure. They certainly won't be cost effective as a proven excellent winter tire like a Michelin Arctic Alpin, Bridgestone Blizzak, BFG Slalom etc so it all depends on how much you are willing to spend.
