Maybe you would like to share what you are getting too. For me pretty much all engine work... like a new one. Then i need some new rubber and just a few little things here and there too.
I wanna see the FMIC I've been hearing about. I've pretty much got my car where I want it. Mostly its sorting for next spring. Brakes, new race rubber, have to replace the perches and bushings on my Teins from the uber-dump I did with it in October. Thats assuming it survives the winter.
Lots of plans set and a few things are starting to come together already some things i have already but are not installed, gonna wait till spring to put everything on. plans are Wheels Dropped (already have) FMIC HKS BOV (already have) oem style CF hood Apexi SAFC (already have, got today ) Exhaust (debating on which to get) Greddy UICP (already have) B&M shifter (already have) ACT 2600 (on the way) and finanly Paint (still debating on color and whos gonna spray it) The parts I have here im going to wait till Early spring to put them on, not much sence putting them on at this time of year, The FMIC and CF hood im trying to locate the best place to buy. thats the blunt of my list and plans, other smaller nic naks ofcourse that I didnt list are in the plans to.
plans are first to the motor (b16) spoon cams (already have) spoon flywheel (already in the car) probe pistons/w ctr dome 81.5 mm crower dual vavle springs /w retainers hondata bore out the cylenders to accomodate the pistons bore out throttle body to 62 mm 3 angle vavle job full rebuild ajustable cam gears (spoon or aem) to the car paint (black) jdm zc carbon fibre hood jdm sir front bumper (already have) jdm rear tails energy suspenion bushings either a set of siR rims or rota slipstreams i think thats it...
lol, I'm on of the unfortunate ones that has to drive their car all winter, and as much as I would love to pick up the new car I've had my eye on, its just not gonna happen anytime soon!
Well, assuming I resist the urge to buy a dedicated track/race/project car, by spring I plan to have: real tires on my stock wheels (probably 225/45/18 Bridgestone S-03 PolePositions) A set of 17" wheels for race use (prob. w/ Kumho Victoracers) Racing Beat front and rear sway-bars. Canzoomers RX-8 piggyback fuel computer JIC FLT-A2 Coilovers They are teh secksy: And if I feel like being totally stupid and dropping $1600US on a cat-back... the JIC all titanium cat-back... shaves 21lbs off the car.
Nope. Prelude is a 5-bolt. Wish I could get a set of 16" rims for my car, but the damn things won't fit....
plans lowered wheels injen intake install my stereo thats sitting in the basement install my short shifter thats in my closet and make a custom fiberglass body kit.
Hopefully, my car will look something like one of these 2 in april. I can't decide on black or grey (almost a nimbus) and some Mugen rip-offs.
a lot. front end will get euro spec jetta (vento) smoked headlights, already have the grille, need to find a jetta hood. then some euro bumpers, euro hatch. fk konigsport coilovers (strut body is a modified koni yellow) keskin kt1 16X9" wheels, and paint the inner part black, leave the dish polished. paint porshe slate grey metallic. etc, etc, etc. see how much money i have left over for some engine parts, mabye a set of recaros.
Actually, more the "Britney" suspension on it since she drives on in her new video... Yeah, that car is sporting the JIC coilovers, the bad-ass JIC exchaust and (I'm pretty sure) the Racing Beat sway bars... pretty much what I'd like to have...
...and a stand alone fuel management system. not a bad way to spend 10 thousand dollars. *ooooooo*. And remember dave, it's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car...you better learn that!
Steve: Yeah, once you put in shipping, exchange etc. it's gonna be damn close to $7K. Jon: But at least when I stand by my car it tends not to run into stuff...
I think I may spoil myself within the next week or so and buy myself this polished snail for Christmas.
House... turbo... house... turbo... C'mon Dave, the decision is easy. Besides, if you really wanted a Turbo Blake's RX7 would be parked... somewhere right now.
