    So when is everyone tucking their car away for the winter?

    i'm still looking for a beater.... but i'm thinking early november, not sure yet.

    I drive the eclipse till the first snow fall... then it's put away that day.

    I don't understand waiting till it snows before u store the car away? Salt is what you want to avoid, a light dusting of snow will not harm a car. Salt is spread on our roads once temps reach 0 degrees which is way before snow hits.

    I'll put the car in storage when I need to.
    I'm putting it in my garage at my house, so I'll just judge based on the weather forecasts and prepare from that.

    This is actually my first your storing my car. The SiR I didn't feel was worth it.
    In the case of the RX-8.. buying snow tires and wheels that will fit cost about as much as I spent on the Integra.. plus driving a RWD sportscar in the snow is just a recipe for my getting my self in a bunch of trouble. :)

    They don't lay down salt till after the first snowfall. Usually we'll get a few snowfalls before they break out the salt and dirt. Trust me, my car has never in its life seen salt ( Florida car ).
