I've been searching everywhere for a dupli-color wheel paint(bronze). Only places in Halifax/Dartmouth that carry it are wal-mart and crappytire. But neither carries it in bronze. I've also tried Napa autoparts and no stores here carry it nor even know the brand name dupli-color. I've also looked around for bronze in non wheel paint but I can't find any of that either. You can't order it off dupli-colors website either. Anyone know where to get this stuff?
Could you powdercoat instead? You'd like be able to get any shade you want at Precision Powdercoating in Burnside.
No I want to do it myself. I've done it before and they came out great for next to nothing. Powder coating costs a small fortune. Thx for the insight though.
For the results, I didn't think powdercoating is that bad. Then again, I'd likely never paint anything myself.
If you saw how amazing the last set I did came out for 20 bucks then you'd understand. They looked like they came from the factory in the color I did. Powder coating is like 75-100 dollars a wheel and before I'd spend that I would just go buy another set of wheels.
I bought some Duplicolor Graphite for my race rims, I'm almost positive Candian Tire had bronze at the time. Did you try asking the parts counter if they could order it? I've been tempted to paint up my factory Miata rims but I wasn't really happy with hout my race rims turned out. (Not that it matters) I should have gotten them sandblasted first.
I've checked 3 crappytires for the bronze with no luck. Yes I'll see if they'll order it for me. I just hate trying to find help at that place. Which crappytire was it?
I got mine at canadian tire, they had like 5 different shades in bronzy/gold that I was pondering at the time, in stock, which were all very similar.
I got mine at the Sunnyside mall CT, which is a hole but its across the street from my office so its where I usually end up.
