I think we might actually be able to get the yard all finished, start the pool to clean it and hopefully get the grass cut. It isn't long, but it is pretty straggly.
    Any plans for you?

House to myself this weekend. Going to pressure wash the deck and maybe try and get a few other odds and ends done around the yard. Gotta start prepping to get my boat in the water

We're heading into Chinatown for supper tonight, then off to the in-law's for the night. I will be getting my ass out of bed in the morning and trying for some rainbow trout.

Taking up the carpeting on the stairs in preparation for installation of new carpet on the stairs on Tuesday along with matching custom made runners for the upper hall. This is the last of the original carpeting left from when we had the house built 18 years ago. I guess it doesn't owe us anything. We've had 4 dogs and three cats (over they last 18 years) as well as many visiting pets running up and down it.

We replaced all the other carpeting with hardwood as we took on reno projects throughout the years. As much work as it was, I enjoyed learning how to put down hardwood.

I have to mow the lawn today. Kind of sad to have to pull out the mower for the season. Last year I had neighborhood kids do it but they've been MIA this year

As with most weekends at this time of year, spending most of it on the side of soccer fields watching my kids play ultimate and soccer. 3-0 at ultimate playoffs yesterday.

Got out for a great anniversary supper last night - worth the 2h15min wait to get in. Up early and heading out for a 17k training run while the hooligans make breakfast for their mom.

Also busted out the mower for the first time this season. Did all the yard work this morning. I hate doing it, but I love that fresh cut smell!

I woke up to a squirrel in the master bedroom 6am Saturday morning, which I removed forcefully out a window, and it being in the basement 15 mins later. Turns out a family of squirrels was in the seldomly used and unfinished basement. So my weekend mostly comprised of humanely convincing the mother to relocate them out an open window.

Bluetooth Speaker + NPR, Critter Ritter, 1 hour cycles of banging broom handle, bright lights...36 hrs later she moved them out to woods (I think). Nowhere else for them to go, and I've sealed the one and only spot she might have come in the first place. Sucks, I had so many other things to do that never got done.
