If you had the choice

  1. Upgrade Current PC components (such as Vid card, HD) and get a Laptop

  2. Buy a new top of the line desktop PC

    Give me some input..

Pros and cons for both.. I need a digicam too..

Laptop- I like the idea of having a good laptop I can take with me to the office, friends, etc, but more expensive.

Desktop- I can get a killer desktop (2.6-3GHz) cheaper then the laptop, but it lacks the convienace of one.

I just cant decide which way to go..

Well it would all depend on what you are running now, and if you have a digital camera, and you're looking to upgrade, what type of cam. But, I picked the Laptop and Digi. camera... you don't wanna sit home all the time..

You use everyone's computer when you go out anyways, no need for a laptop... and laptops suck for games, which is your main use

the laptop would have a 128mb vid card and 512 ram, it would be cool to be able to bring it to work and shit since i do fuck all here anyways, even though I still remote desktop in.. Desktops are ALOT cheaper arent they?

And school, but you guys are done that crap...

I would say go for the desktop, cheaper AND better, and have a big monitor. Plus you have more versatility for the future.

Yea, I was thinking of building a desktop in the 2.6-3ghz range.. I like the fact you can change components in a desktop as opposed to a laptop..

Wow, everyone is against Laptops! I've never used one before, so I have no idea what they're like, but they aren't THAT bad, are they?

Get one of those SFF computers
You can stuff all the latest hardware in them and the little bastard are small.

Pick one of them up and grab an LCD monitor and you got the best of both worlds
