5/5 for the very interesting story line, oil crisis, middle east, media power, etc.... 1/5 for being so blatantly bias and one sided. I average it out at a 2.5. I loved it, 5/5, but I could see how some people might find it slow.
Recently finished: This one was very Martin-esqe. Plenty of one percenter conspiracy wrapped in a crazy candy coating.... These one's were pretty good. I didn't care for either of these:
I'd be interested to hear if it's any good. I'm loving the book about Google, definitely interested in reading something like it in the future.
I'll post up when I'm through it. I've only finished Chapter 1 so far. A co-worker recommended it and said it was great, so I'm looking forward to it. The Google book looks interesting - I added it to my Amazon wishlist.
Just finished Loved the first half of the book, a good portion of it takes place in Derry in the late 50's, with a few cameo's from "IT", which I found amusing. Last half of the book kind of drags on. Finally got around to reading Movie really didn't stray to far from the book. Ending was a little different, I would say I prefer the movie (which is rare). Currently reading Really, really enjoying this book! Had no idea it was recently made into a movie, plan on checking it out once I finish.
just read the new dan brown book, read some chelsea handler book while bored one day. read anchorboy by jay onrite, and mike tysons autobiography. dan brown, tyson and anchorboy were all amazing handlers book was so so. currently reading i wear the black hat, and money: a suicide note next up are The chris farley show, and dead janitors club anyone have any spots they download epubs for free? with a good selection?
hells angel was shitty. sonny barger telling us over and over again that the HA arent organized crime and are just a motorcycle club with a bad rap. didnt touch on ANYTHING they were involved in, kind of a waste of a read honestly. if you want a really good read:
This was a really quick and easy read - pretty entertaining. Anyone who grew up in the '80's playing video games would enjoy it. It's a bit off in that it seems more like a book for teenagers, but you'd probably miss a lot if you didn't know a lot about '80's video games and movies (and music, for that matter).
Just over half way through and I'm really enjoying this book. I think the conspiracy theorists on here might enjoy this one.
I forgot what a good thread this was. I have two books on the go right now, and a Steven King book waiting for me that I somehow missed, Joyland. I just spent my lunch break at the library and got lost in the books there. I got a card a couple of months ago but haven't used it yet, today was the first time I went in there and really browsed. I will definitely be making use of it once I get through my current reads! One of the last ones I read was Doctor Sleep, a continuation of The Shining. Really good. Also the Secret Keeper by Kate Morton, also enjoyed that one.
Fantastic book. It's been on my "to-read" shelf for ages, I'm so glad I finally go around to reading it!
i just started the chris farley story. written by his brother with stories about him from other actors. should be awesome.
