so I start it up today to warm it up before I head out. Let it run for about 15 mins and as I'm walking out to get in PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH *smoke billows from under the hood* No coolent in it now. Looks like a line popped off or something. It's too dark so I can't tell where it came off. Hopefully nothing serious. I'd assume it's not good to have it sit in the cold with no coolent in it, but I don't really have much of a choice
Weather > My Accord + Eisenhauers Jetta! *Idling is completely fucked tonight before it warmed up after 1/2 hour. *Throttle stuck at 110km/h out on the highway right when I was trying to slow down to take the sacville exit. Popped the hood and the throttle linkage was completely encased in ice. *Opened my trunk to get my flashlight, and the trunk plastic trim on the outside completely snapped off in my hand due to the cold owning cheap thing plastic *Moisture is somehow getting into my seatbelt cannister, thus tonight my seatbelt was completely frozen. *I need about 5 male arms to shift between gears before it warms up good FUCK WINTER!!!
so what you're really trying to say is that the jetta will be out for the first rally-x on the 18th....right? 8)
Exact same thing with mine!!! Can't even put it in reverse without it warming up for 10 min! At the dealership today, the hydrolics/joints in the trunk froze so we could only open up the trunks like 5cm and they wouldn't go anymore! Then when I went to deliver a car, tried to roll down the window so I could throw a token out at the bridge toll, NOPE, window was frozen shut! Had to open the door.
Well, if it's the block, I'll just have to replace it with one of them H22 things..... and I went out and filled the rad with coolent and it seemed to hold
w00t I replaced my Fast Idle Solenoid and the hose that connects it to the IAC valve about a month back. Turns out the hose I used didn't like -25 C and it cracked. Got it replaced at Civic Pride and all is good total cost: $0 That's my kinda repair!
