I heard on the radio that the 102 is closed between Hammonds Plains and Kearney Lake because of accidents.

Police are advising people to stay off the roads.

    Its slippy out there kids.

    Be careful.

Apparently there's an accident on St Margarettes Bay Rd and another in Fairview. I just drove back from Dartmouth without a hitch. Silly people and their bad driving skillz. Radio is saying up to 9 accidents now since the snow started.

I was on an exit ramp doing 30ish, the roads still looked decent and the entire car stepped out on me twice and I'm on winter tires. I proceeded to slow at an intersection after the exit ramp and a woman slid right past me into the intersection. Parts of the roadway are pure ice so it's not necessarily bad driving skills today.

it's probably not as bad now, the trucks were out salting... so with any luck you won't have any trouble.

I just drove from North end Halifax to Clayton Park and most roads are pretty greasy.

My car needs a paint job so I'm hoping that someone grazes me on my way out to the GF's place tonight. Either that or a total write-off and a couple of bucks for pain and suffering. :hsugh:

102 is back open, there are a few cars off the road (one facing the wrong way in a snowbank) and there are cop cars sporadically lined up down the side of the highway but I found the roads to be fine.

The roads are bad, but they're not THAT bad. The highway between Sackville and Mount Uniacke was actually quite good - the snow has basically blown off the lanes from cars driving.

not bad here in Enfield. Just pay attention to the driving. drove home along the 102 about 30 mins ago, 100km/h the whole way. there's snow down, but not enough to cause problems.

it was brutal driving home today at 3:30, the roads looked bare with not much snow, but that pavement looking stuff was all ice. I witnessed a hit and run on Quinpool, that was fun, didn't stop although I should have probably, and caused another pile up.

Lacewood, Dunbrack, Main & Willett have 2-4 inches on them. Not too good out there now that the wind has really picked up.

Haha, now I don't feel so silly for hoping that HRSB will close and that I won't have to go to work.

I wouldn't bet money on anything being cancelled. It's supposed to change to rain around 12pm. I have to say Environment Canada really dropped the ball on this, they should've issued a winter storm warning or something...
