    Well, it started.

A crazed world leader out of control in Putin at the front of this threatening his nuclear arsenal at anyone who opposes him.

Thoughts? Bullet to the head of Putin solves everything? Instead we get world leaders blustering about sanctions.

Can't help but feel bad for the people of Ukraine. Can't even imagine what that must be like.

Seeing what's going on is definitely shocking. Don't think our sanctions will really do much. Curious what NATO/America's reaction will be and what Putin will do in return.

Sanctions won’t do a thing. Russia has been planning this for 10+ years and more than likely have billions upon billions in their war chest to float their feeble economy. Putin will get what he wants.

Sanctions will definitely hurt Russia. Putin can have the biggest war chest in the world and it won't save him from the people of Russia when their lives come crashing down.

Anyone watch the US President just speak? That episode of Weekend at Biden's was actually pretty good. He was pretty well on point.

Gear down billy big rig. Russia is going to occupy Ukraine just like they did Crimea and nobody is going to do jack shit about it outside of keeping Russia under stiff sanctions until the US presidency changes back to another President who admires Putin.

I got out awhile ago but I won't lie, pretty curious if I'd get drafted back in if everything turned back to WW2 times.. It's crossed my mind!

I thought we were sending over 400 troops? Which is still fuck all.

I wonder if we (North America) will see some serious cyber attacks from Russia. Scary times for sure.

WWIII is not something I had planned on experiencing in my lifetime

Really? This is on the world stage. I think this is going to get really bad for all humans. Sanctions are the only option at this point. It is impossible to actually defend Ukraine with Military at this point. The world would essentially end. Everyone is praying that this first step does something, but I am afraid phase 2 could be inevitable.

Yes Putin wants Mother Russia back together but, I am still seeing it as an excuse for him to push for more and see if the West is going to blink.

I just dread the idea of provoking Putin. Devil's advocate he did say for NATO not to get involved. And warned of consequences if they do. Russia would obliterate our forces in a heartbeat. And I dare say I think they are able to go toe to toe with the U.S.
Don't want it to come to WW2.

The US spends $700B a year on their military and Russia spends $60B

Take out nukes and the US mops the floor with Russia. Not only that but if Russia was fighting the US, they'd be fighting the US plus 29 other NATO countries. They'd be fucked unless they were ok with mutually assured destruction.

I don't know. Russia would definitely be the first to grab the football and hit the button is my main fear. War now is never going to be a ground fought battle. It's all going to be about who can launch the most icbm's first. If Canada or most of the other countries allied with NATO get involved... and Russia nukes the US... We'd all be bringing guns and knives to a drone and submarine fight.

Putin knows it too. Sadly, nobody cares about Ukraine when it comes down to it.

The US would launch a counter attack of nukes before the Russian ones landed, that’s the mutually assured destruction agreement.

I’d really like to know where the Russian and US subs are right now tho

"Take out nukes" - ummm, Putin has told the world to fuck off as he has nukes and is willing to use them, so it doesn't matter how large the US military is. As of right now, the US is not sending any troops to Ukraine - they are all going to surrounding countries, so it's a moot point to start.

That was my thought. Good luck telling Putin or Biden to "take out the nukes".
