And that's about the most sheepish comment I've ever read and exactly how other nations have ended up under authoritarian regimes.
I do feel bad for infatuous and pretty much anyone on the further-right (in the US anyway). The Republican Party is built on a core of fear. At a basic level, the more afraid you are, the further right you go. At some point, you tip over and your fear doesn’t even make sense any more, which is where infatuous seems to be at. I can’t imagine living my life being so afraid of everything and not trusting anyone. And it’s not like there isn’t stuff in the world that can cause you to be fearful. I can point at a bunch of different things - what I’m talking about is it being the core thing that drives your life.
To be fair to infatuous, we’re all calling him an idiot. Well, I don’t mean to speak for everyone - I am.
Yeah but to be fair you, all indicators are pointing to him actually being one. He's just calling anyone that doesn't agree with him one.
I forgot "Sheepish"! That makes me think people are fucking idiots as well. So this guy really believes in the Bill gates, 5G, underground child porn, there is no Covid nonsense? wow
NO NO there is covid its just not bad, and its taking his freedoms away, and the flu is worse. i think ..
And we've all made mistakes in our past, but the important part is that you realize you were wrong and move forward.
freedoms haha jesus christ People are too stupid for freedom. That's why we have rules and laws. For people that really think like this, please explain to me the end game. Lay it all out to me if thing continues down this 5g, Bill Gates, child porn, absolute delusional theory. Coles notes is fine ibdoyourownreseach
he’s not going to lay anything out. I’ve asked, I’ve made posts breaking things down and saying almost exactly what HairyAss did and he didn’t even acknowledge it.
I'm not sure why you guys are spending any amount of energy to try to convince someone with opposite beliefs that they are wrong, and your viewpoint is right. I'd argue anyone participating in these conversations with this level of passion is an idiot, because we all know its not going to change the opinion of the person whose viewpoints you are trying to change. Generally both sides have overlaps of commonalities that neither wants to talk about - because everyone chooses to focus only on the differences. These last few pages are a textbook example of an "exercise in futility". I'm glad I live in the woods away from all this shit.
It's a valid point. For me, there are a few reasons I've contributed to the cacophony and it's not really to convince infatuous and/or KMD to a lesser extend that their viewpoint is wrong: - I've lived in the US for 4.5 years or so now. In the time that I moved here, Trump became president and immediately started attacked immigrants - all immigrants, not just the brown ones he really doesn't like. News articles started popping up about work visa applications, etc. requiring you to give the powers that be access to your social media accounts as part of the approval process. Whether this was true or not, I chose to go quiet about my political thoughts, especially regarding Trump, online. While that's not a huge thing, I've felt unfairly muzzled. This (RC) has been a good outlet - I'm doubting US Immigration checks here when they're going through my Green Card application. - It's been a good distraction from some stuff going on at home. We're getting close to a year of WFH/kids doing online school and it SUCKS. My kids are not doing well, especially my daughter lately. I'm not going out with friends so this is a good (probably not the healthiest) distraction. - honestly, while on the one hand it is scary and sad seeing where infatuous has gotten to (I've posted that previously and I mean it), it is also fun to poke the bear and see what conspiracy-laden BS comes out next.
He has laid out things with more links to sources than anyone else has. Unfortunately for him, no one wants to click his links because they all go to shady websites and/or websites already known to be far-right nut job hangouts.
More so the former than the latter. I'm not trying to push my views on anyone. I just want him to stop pushing his views on us.
I know you are trying to make a point here but I just want to separate Governments. Saying that JT has done an excellent job is a YUGE stretch, your Prov government has done an excellent job with covid NS has done the best in the Canada at containing it. I wish we could all be in the same boat, but I think that would make things worse sorry I thought that was already done with Jeffrey Epstein's Island, who if I remember correctly Did not kill himself, but really whatever happened with all that mess when his girlfriend testified? And on that note...
Ever since that episode aired, I always repeat "to be fair" in the way they say it back to whoever said it to me
Do you think someone who incited a riot that attempted to overthrow democracy should be allowed to just sit there without repercussions?
I dunno. Still waiting to see the clip where he incited violence. But still, seems to be a little over the top.
So you believe Trump acted honorably in all of this? No evidence of any actual voter fraud. He really did lose the election. He refuses to accept that and in all rallies leading up to the 6th, including the 6th, called for his supporters to fight for him. Even his lawyer called for hand to hand combat. The riot to try and take over the Capitol was then done *in his name*. But... he's innocent and clean. Got it.
Someone could show you a video of him leading the charge and you'd still have an amateur video from the guy who claims he invented riots saying it's a fake one. So like anything else, what's the point...
