You keep comparing these two things.... do you think it's fair to compare a group of right wing extremists attacking a government building to protest their "team" losing an election to people protesting against decades of systematic racism and police brutality?

Leave aside the BLM protests for a second. Do you think the attack on the capitol was fine then? The only thing you’re posting is a comparison of the 2. They’re two different events and each need to be judged on their own so instead of limping them together... was the protest/coup/attack on the capitol ok? What do you think should be the outcome from that? Maybe instead of just posting useless memes, you could state an opinion.

If I’m supposedly King Left, I can tell you this is not what I see in my feed from folks - the primary comparisons I’m seeing between the 2 are coming from the right trying to downplay what happened in the Capitol and to be honest most of what I’ve even seen on that front are the memes you’re posting. On its own, the attacks on the 6th represent a crowd of seditionists violently attacking the capitol with intent to claw back the election that had been lost by Trump. It was the stuff that causes democracies to crumble - luckily(?), it was ill executed and brought to order. The memes you’re posting are using opportunistic photos to sell a story not worth telling. For every “mild” photo of the attack on the capitol, I can find 3 violent ones. For every violent aftermath photo from a BLM protest, I can show you 3 peaceful ones.

Couldn't agree more! The comparison is being made because one protest is okay and another not. I mean, how many thousands were there and how many went into the building? 50? The rag tag band that were in sitting at Pelosi's desk weren't goin to overthrow the government. Trump told them to go home, they left or were arrested. This has been the very definition of the MSM for the last 4 years only its right = bad, left = good.
Nick84 - Again, stop making comparisons between BLM protests and the attack on the capitol. You're clouding your judgement (IMO). Also - Trump sent a mixed message about going home. "We love you" is not a condemnation of what was happening.
If it had happened, yes, but a few red necks weren't going to overthrow the government. However, other riots did cause billions in damages, and many lives were lost.

Listen to both Trump's speech before the rally and the video he put out asking the terrorists to go home. It is all "borderline" but the speech before was meant to incite hatred and anger and the video he put out asking folks to go home started first with a reiteration of their justification for being angry about him winning the election (a Big Lie), then telling him he loves them, and then weak ask ask for peace. And if you want to make comparisons, go find some speeches Trump made about BLM protestors.
I struggle to understand how you guys have the energy to argue with these lost causes. Debating conservative views vs liberal views, fine...but these few folks are standing behind disgusting anti-humanity and deeply immoral views fueled by false truths, racism, bigotry and hatred. Nick84 - It's good for Merkel and others to call it out for further investigation. At the moment? Trump and others broke the rules, booted off. I'm not sure what happened with Amazon and Parler but given what has been leaked about how that platform was used, I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon was forced to bring it down by the FBI. If not... again, TOS for usage and Parler was being used as a gathering place to organize violence.
