Have you seen any unusal cars around lately ? Not really exotic, just cars you don't see every day. I got passed by one of these last week and did a double take. Chrysler Cordoba Few weeks ago I was behind on of these beauties rockin BC plates and an aluminium step ladder on the roof.
is the second one an AMC Eagle? they were awesome.. I think they were the first AWD passenger car in the states? not really sure
There was someone in my old neighborhood that had the car in the second pic. I remember seeing one on Kijiji a few years ago with a plow on the front.
I haven't seen an eagle in years. Friends of my family had one and it eas a tank. I remember it had a problem with "dieseling" ie continuing to run after it was shut off
K cars are hard to come by the last few years, But i saw a mint condition one at Tims Clayton park the other morning.
I inherited a K car from my grandfather when he died a couple years back. He had it for maybe a year. When he bought it for $1100, it had like 28,000 orignal KMs on it. It was mint. Ended up selling it to my sister inlaw's parents and they managed to run it into the ground haha.
There are still a few eagles kicking around here, I saw one this morning on my drive to work actually.
When I was looking to buy my first car I told me father I wanted an eagle talon TSi. A few days later he told me that on the way home he saw an eagle talon AWD for sale for $1000. I was so excited I could have shit myself. We went out the next day to take a look and to my disappointment it was a fucking AMC Eagle haha. Father is not much of a car guy.
i saw a white f650 going towards the bridge, had a dually box on it, i think the tailgate was higher then the roof of the truck behind it
There is/was one in Edmonton a year and a half ago. Saw it twice on the Henday. Think I've got a pic of it in my phone...
The day I came home from my surgery in Halifax last month, I saw a C4 Corvette on the road, and a Hyundai Pony. I didn't think there were any Ponys left. And last week, a guy called the store looking for pads, rotors, and calipers for an 87 Reliant.
My buddies dad has a bricklin http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0a/Bricklin_SV-1_AMI.jpg
last summer a customer came in looking for an oil filter for an 85 Chevette Diesel, i was astonished to find I had like 12 of these filters buried in stock covered in dust from the 80's. he bought the whole box for $5 This thing was immaculate, had 21,000 original kms on it i wanted to buy it.
You've never seen a Cordoba or an Eagle? Someone I know's parents won a Cordoba like that when it was new. From a cereal box or something. But I can't remember who it was... I actually prefer the Ricardo era Cordoba though. Although the Magnum is kinda the best of both words (the square edged look and the meaner looking rims). Although this one has aftermarket ones.
A couple years ago I saw one of these parked in a subdivision in Dartmouth. I was amazed to see one... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphicar
My friend had an 86 as a body-shop loaner. 4 of us in it, 70 mph downhill wide open. My friend stuck his 2 arms out the window and the car darted for the ditch from the wind resistance
I see a strange looking civic SI hatch around once in a while its kinda stretched out. I think it was a european model I cant find a picture of it. mid to early 2000's guy I work with has one of those mini Suzuki RHD pickups and the thing is a tank. he's had it since summer and hasnt had to do anything to it but change the oil. and its a daily driver. does 105kph on the highway @ 6800rpm..... the little diesel is just screaming.
