I can't seem to find anywhere to purchase winter tire studs. Can anyone point in the right direction. And yes I've tried the first 6 pages of google and others with no luck.

Look in your local phone book for tire shops they will have them. Are you lookin for just the studs or a place to put the in for you? ...........Either way call the local shops.

I'm just looking into this. They are illegal here in southern Ontario. But I'm probably going to be driving out west this winter a few times and I don't want any surprises. I've got cable chains already from past times but you cannot drive on the highway with them at any kind of speed.

Studs will do you absolutely no good on the highway anyway. They only stick up maybe 1/8 th of an inch above the tread pattern. They are relly no good at any high rate of speed either.
