I would attribute it more to the stability programme as well as the x-drive AWD system. Note how the vehicle reacts, and how the wheels that aren't in contact with anything act.
DSC-II and X-Drive is how it didn't flip over. A testament to BMW's engineering prowess! That damn thing was nearly scraping it's doorhandles on the terrain!
No, a combination of the terrain, tires, driver, X-Drive, and DSC brought the car back 'round. If you don't believe it, I urge you to try it in ANY vehicle without those driver's aids. Do you seriously think a RWD vehicle could have righted itself like that, or that any vehicle could have done that without those sophisticated electronics? HINT: This is a showcase of BMW's technologically advanced driver aids, not of thier drivers. That should help.
