You mean he cant simply recommend/suggest/inform a particular place/person to help other members because its "advertising". Isnt that part of the reason for having a forum? People helping other people.

How about giving negative feedback on a particular place. For instance, I had a horrible experience bringing my car to Midas in Bedford. Can I not say that because its "advertising" Midas?

so when all you ricers are talking about your tricked out 120hp hondas thats advertising hondas as well...
A forum is meant as a place to trade information...i didn't realize this place was just out to make money from advertising

This site is run off of advertising and I would imagine that boots see's nothing in his pockets from running this site. Actually I would say that he still probably pays out of his pocket to run RC.

By taking about a specific car we are not advertising for the company you douche.

If we were telling everyone to come down to Ramseys Honda in Sydney and buy a 2004 Civic...that would be advertising.

You're too stupid to understand the difference. Give it up or find another message board.

It is very apparent that it bothers you based on the simple fact that you keep coming back and replying about this subject. You can try to hide it, but some simple psychology sells you out every time.

No one is trying to hurt your feelings, you realize... so your retorts are the polar opposite of witty at this point, not to mention repetitive and unimaginative.

Now, the point is.. you were advertising, and you do not understand the difference. It's no big deal, just study up a bit and maybe you can learn something in the end!

I'm betting that won't happen. It seems like he's having issues comprehending this simple logic..

2.The state of one's mind at the time one carries out an action.

He may have been avertising, but I don't think that is exactly what he was planning on doing. Oh, and he also said he was sorry!

Might not of been his intent, but he was still doing it. Therefore resulting in the action of having that thread locked.

    meh...
Heres what happened....I got some steelies powder coated for a good price at this place called blah blah blah. They turned out fucking amazing so i thought other people might like to know about this place...I think the fact that i knew the guy that just started this business is what people are getting so upset about...you think i'm trying to advertise for him when really that was not my intention.
There was really no need to call me stupid and unable to comprehend simple logic...
Just because you have a great job at a call center and an absolutly amazing family sedan does not make you perfect

Sounds like a fair deal to me, considering the amount of traffic we get from local car enthusiasts. But then again, I doubt he'd want our business, we all drive "tricked out 120HP civics".
