why would you want to...? do you often spend much time driving down the road with your doors open for a good reason?
the easiest way would be to remove the fuse. the problem is what fuse and is said fuse linked to more than this warning beep. disconnecting the door sensor that tells you the door is shut should do it. if you are that serious about it.
those open door buzzers are the worst. if you can't tell that your door is open, you shouldnt be driving anyway.
Maybe he wants to listen to music or keep his keys in the ignition with the door open? Whenever I cleaned my car I'd always have the music on and the door alarm was quite annoying. Edit - This should probably be in the automotive section, btw.
I always thought the alarm is to remind you the keys are in the ignition, not that you have the door open. thats why when the keys are removed, the beeping stops. More-so that you dont lock the keys in the car. Either way, yes it can be annoying.
Definitly a relay. Take it out...i forget what one specifically. I'll check mine when i get home and post later.
Go home.. to my Integra GS-R? Sorry, I'll take ANY BMW over a pile of shit FWD honda. Not only is it faster, it handles better... so if you're going to be FWD, Type R or go home! If you're not going to pretend that FWD is good, anything from a Miata on up will do. Jealousy is a horrible color on you.
Manufacturer ratings (BMW rates thier cars notoriously low, so much that it's often referred to "Bavarian Horsepower") 197hp and 206 ft/lbs. If you think that power translates into a 3300lb car doing the 1/4 mile in mid-14's and 0-60 in 6.5 then that's cool.
Oh, I was wondering why you would reply with something like that. Must be because you COULD care less, as you said, not couldn't.
this coming from a guy with a beat up old teg....?? I think Patty cakes has the better car....even if it was a beat up old BMW.....he would still own you
burnsie is the lomo leader, he knows what he is talking about when it comes to cars..... lol my 91 teg 4 door is better then any bmw ever,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, loser intruder alert intruder alert
4-dr gsr is cool, don't see many of those around. There is no doubt in my mind that the bmw is better.
I love how everyone thinks that i like my car so much, a 13yr old car with 310,000km on it doesn't really do it for me. But i gets me back and forth to school/work, and its reliable. I still don't understand why this is about my car.....
If you start talking up sell this and sell that, you're putting your choices up for criticism. Plain, simple. I don't have pictures of the Integra, but for $6500 USD it can be yours! It's a 97 with 94K miles. Near-perfect condition inside and out.
you run a car site, thats why.... we assume you love your car, or do you just run the site to impress 16 year olds that dont have a car?
yea it makes a noise only with the keys in the ignition and then another when the car starts up and both are annoying. its impossible to lock my keys in the car unless i push down the lock maually and then close the door. when you hit the automatic lock on the inside it doesnt lock the driver side door. i have to use my key to lock it. theres no little button thingy i could tape but i know what your talking about cause my dodge van has it. i should of checked the manual to see if it said what fuse if any contorlled it, i can handle that but if its a relay i dont know if i wanna go cutting wires
If its an a2 or a3, its under your dash onthe drivers side. its a little black box, pull it out and bam, no more noise.
It's called screaming and it can be prevented by making sure you're stopped before forcing passengers out of the car.
i looked under the dash and i found the fuses i started pulling them out then checked the manuel and there almost all connected to more then one thing. i didn't see any other box to take off
