    i got a source where i download a steady 1.7 mg/s without a download accellerator i'm curious to try one out tho.

    is the aliant / dsl really capped at 150 kb /s ?

    i just wish my torrent downloads werent so frikin slow ..

    awesome speed, fastest i've had mine so far was at just over 920, alliant kisses ass for speed.

    The file might have been cached. I remember once I downloaded some file and the speed it showed was something to crazy to even pull off with DSL. Though it is possible you did get that kick ass speed (if so sweet job), not trying to shoot down your post.

    While at school in montreal, in residence, I got speeds upwards of 11 - 11.5 megabytes per second, pretty wild stuff. As for Eastlink, 1.59MB/sec sounds pretty good.
