I also go to Gates for apples. Smaller and off the beaten track - guy who runs it is great.

We get our pumpkins from Wiles Lake Farm Market just outside Bridgewater.

Elderkin's in Wolfville would be my suggestion for apples.

So confused. Bright sunny day, I take my lunch, nap for 45 minutes and wake up to a bright sunny day but everything outside is soaked.

During my half hour lunch break today I opted to stay indoors. As I sat and ate my lunch while looking outside, it went from bright to eerily dark, thunder rolled through & lightning flashed... and then it was lovely again!

I'm off work today, but just got a mass email from my boss telling everyone to keep an eye on the quickly incoming storm.

I look out my window and there's nothing but clear blue skies out here

Found multiple major mistakes with a very expensive publication our office produced. It will cost us a huge amount of money for re-print and will effect all of our marketing plans for the next 2 months.

Shit is hitting the fan. I am just happy I wasn't involved in either the creation or the proofing. Staying in my office. Not making any noise.

I was literally watching the rain make its way down Akerley, then it got to us, then a couple minutes later just continued on its way, pretty weird.

Looks like Energy 103.5 in Halifax is now Hot Country 103.5, in case anybody cares.
I didn't listen to it before, I probably won't listen to it now either.

I'm not really surprised. I don't know how many times I'd flip through the stations and 96.5, C100, 101.3 and 103.5 would all be playing pretty much the same playlist all day long.

I'd flip through if there was nothing on whatever other station I was listening to, and I'd occasionally stop on it if I recognized the song, but that was about it.
