Anyone watch the special on HBO last night? Of course I did... :D

What about the Oprah episode? Or kept up with the story at all?

It's pretty funny, dude is a total waste and a liar.. basically confirms what a lot of people think about organized religion.

I was checking out nudes of his escort, though... I'd hit it!

I lost faith in religion a long time ago, stories like this just re-inforces it.

Didn't even have to read past the first word "Evangelical". This "pastor" is indeed a waste of skin.

I wouldn't paint all organized religion with the same brush though.

    Elaborate.

EDIT: Oh, and don't go all typical "well not EVERYONE is the same blah blah blah" bastard excuse for a reply on me, either.

I am not a religious person myself but I do appreciate what religion means to most people. Also people should understand the separation between religion and the church itself. Religion is a vehicle many people use to seek peace, understanding and acceptance.

Most people form their opinions on region and the church in general based on this minority of pastors/preachers/whatever who are sick and depraved that use their position in the community to prey on those who might fit the above description.

As I said above I am not religious at all but I do go to church on a regular basis. Mostly because I support what the church does in our community. It is always there to silently lend a hand to those in need in the community no matter who they are and what affiliation they have to it. I wish we could all do the same.

First off, it doesn't seem to be all that minor of an issue... I'm not saying it's the majority by any means, but, I don't think it's as small of a deal as some people would like for it to be. I think it has been swept under the rug for far too long to avoid crumbling the false hopes of the weak minded.

    Also, I said organized religion.
