Kind of a random thread. I’m always seeing interesting shit in my neighborhood. I’ll post the most interesting. Thought I’d start with this one - not sure exactly what it is but it caught my eye and figured the RC car crowd would know:
I saw that about 2 minutes after some dude started yelling at me, asking if I voted for Biden. I told him I was Canadian and couldn’t vote. He then started yelling about how Biden’s ruining the country. tl:dr: drunk guy in my neighborhood
Not quite neighborhood but had a chance to watch Christine Sinclair play for the Portland Thorns last night. Quinn, another of the Canadian women, plays for the Seattle team.
I was dropping my son off at a band camp at an area called Seattle Center and went in search of coffee. It’s fun living in Seattle and seeing all the Gates Foundation stuff.
Wasn't sure where else to post this... so here goes... Not really my neighbourhood. Had to drive 7 hours to get here... 5 from Fort Mac to Slave Lake then two hours north of Slave Lake. But father son moose camp 2021 has commenced!
My tent is going out next week but I am not going with it My BIL's are borrowing it one has an identical one to mine but his son in law just got his hunting license and wants to hunt up North so he is going to give him the real wall tent experience and my step son will be there as well. I may go out for a weekend but apparently kitchen renovations are more important than hunting according to the wife
Off to a great start. One of the guys in the group tagged out today. Parker is happy to just keep getting grouse!
Homecoming is not something I remember being a big deal in high school - I actually don’t remember it being a thing at all. But it’s a big deal here! I don’t normally post pictures of my kids on here but oh, well. My son is dressed in red.
Yeah, I saw some stories about people being disappointed about missing out on homecomings and pep rallies because of COVID. Me thinking back to high school 20 years ago: What are those?
Moose down. 5 minutes into today's hunt. Glad I was alone with my son. The guy in the photo is like my uncle. Glad he was there too!!
You could argue about this being my neighborhood but I consider the mountains part of my backyard now. Incredibly challenging hike - 27km day one, 20km day 2 and I don’t know how many feet of elevation. All to hit an area of Larches and Fall Colours that was absolutely breathtaking. We hit the larches just as we were losing light so photos weren’t all great - going to see if I can fix that in Lightroom. Definitely something to see in person if you ever get the chance.
lol. A quick google search puts that car at at least $300k US. Given real estate costs around here, someone probably lives in it.
My wall tent getting ready to be picked up last night, it's going out this morning to the hunting camp. I hope they have good luck and a great time. There will be two identical tents there so I hope my step son sends some picture in.
