I tried to beat the heat by leaving at 6:30am for my ride this morning but it caught up to me earlier than I expected. stopped for a nap.
What's the humidex like? I can handle 50 degrees in the desert just fine. 35 with 95% humidity? Shoot me.
Saving grace - it’s only about 30% here in Seattle. Agree on that - if the humidity were higher, I’d be dying. Still wouldn’t be surprised to hear about a bunch of heat related deaths this weekend - helicopters have been around non-stop which usually means water accidents.
It's pretty dry here, I think we are in the 30% range as well. it's a Dog send compared to the East coast I don't like the heat but if we had the humidity here I would likely die for real. We are actually under a heat warning right now from Environment Canada but I think most of BC is.
Got up early hoping to get my run in before it gets too hot. Already 26 at 6am. Forecast is now 41 for this afternoon although it was calling for 43 when I looked yesterday.
At 37 now - heading to the dog beach I found yesterday. Wife insisted at stopping at Starbucks for an iced coffee which I appreciate but not the sitting in the hot car waiting…
Hit high 30's in the NWT yesterday too. You wouldn't think the arctic gets that warm ... but now you know it can.
Highest temp I saw was 41 yesterday. I know co-workers in various parts of the city saw as high as 43.
The heat here caused some roads to buckle: https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/roads-buckling-record-heat/QEJEKHJSCZBLBL4JLJG2IVSDOE/
Someone at work posted this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...#Highest_temperatures_ever_recorded_in_Canada
They had to close some of the back roads here that they resealed last year because the tar was sticking to car tires and rolling up
FYI change your display settings to “night mode” so the screen is blue all the time instead of white. It look way better
you are getting what we had, enjoy it. We are under a severe thunder storm watch and 31 feels like 36 so I hope this is the end. Not a good start to fire season this year. >3000 ha fire North of us and a >4000 South near Kamloops and my step daughter and lots of others around not good at all
I have sync 3 and my wife does, never had an issue other than the presets go wack sometimes on Sirius
I'm running a 2020 f150 so I'm assuming that's sync 3 based on this conversation and have Zero issues at all?
It’s the bigger screen. Although honestly I’ve never had an issue, but I’m not even sure what the issues would be because I really never checked out it’s capabilities. I pretty much just turn on the truck and it connects to my phone so I can play spotify. That’s the extent that I use it. Didn’t know it could even do anything else. i was just more concerned that you deemed something about my truck shitty
I am the same way. Turn on my truck, it connects to my phone and I'm good. When I'm not using daytime radio I use my Bluetooth with YouTube music. Does what I want it to do so I'm good.
I really don’t use it other than for xm radio, CarPlay for everything else. The main benefit of sync 3 is the ability to remote start/lock unlock from your phone
Love this. The ford app is pretty good. Like that I can check almost everything from my phone. It's also great that when Its cold, I can start it from my office and then take the shuttle to the parking lot and have a toasty truck in January when it's - fuck off cold outside.
I find the app buggy as hell. It's gotten a little better the past few months, but there's been many days when it just spins that little circle or just closes itself out in a crash lol. It does have some really great features though. I do wish you could control the climate system from the app though
