cleaning for one. But mostly just keeping track of my water, refilling on trail, transfers some of the weight too.
Eff fly fishing. I kept my dad's "midge" fishing gear after he passed. Use that whenever I go for rainbow.
Oh I know I don't have the patience for it either, I don't fish much anymore but I used to fish a lot when I lived out on the coast and I go out when I visit my brother on his boat if I am feeling okay. I can't see standing in a river throwing a fly over and over and over, I like either sitting in a boat/canoe trolling the shore or sitting on the shore with my rod in a holder with a bell on it with a beer and waiting for the fish to bite. I even have a 14 ft aluminum boat with 6hp motor that I haven't used in over 10 years and I will never sell it because of sentimental value but the kids have taken it out so it gets used.
I never got a chance to get my Dutch oven going while we were camping so got it on the go when we got home. Can’t wait - peanut butter cheesecake chocolate brownies.
I don’t think anyone really knows. They all got their smaller fires started around the same time (flint and steel) but the main objective was to light the larger fire and that didn’t happen until they’d all added their smaller fires. Probably some deeper message/meaning there.
Things like this make me happy I stick with atv's 500cc and under. Wayyy lighter. Sure they still have issues with mud/muskeg/swamp.... But they are way easier to get out and I can easily pick up the ass end and lift it/reposition. Granted 600cc+ atv's are way more comfy for longer rides.
775 lbs dry and it had a full tank plus me. It was high centred and not going anywhere without help. I couldn’t budge the thing at all yeah the tires are not great even when they’re new. It’s on the list it was mossy, swampy sink to your knees mud, I don’t know if anything could have made it out on it’s own. I had some saplings I could winch to and even then they barely held enough to get me out. It was getting dicey as I had no service, was alone, and there’s no way I could get my truck down there to get it out. Yeah yeah I know don’t do dumb shit alone
Was out in St Margaret's Bay fishing on the weekend and spotted one of the new ships doing sea trials S21 zoom finally came in handy haha
My Kodiak is like 550lbs. Argo is heavier, but got it a bigger winch! Hunting I'm often alone or with my oldest son and in some questionable areas. Don't want that extra weight!
The "stir things up" side of me would start spreading the rumor that the 1 / 2 means baby # 2 is on the way, not that he's 6 / 12 years old.
Things getting even more back to normal. Last night's Sounders FC match - lower bowl was completely open - had to show proof of vaccination on the way in. No masks! It was a great experience - even better with a 2-1 Sounders win. This is the view from my Season's tickets that I bought for the start of the 2020 season - only the 3rd time I've ever sat in them!
