What's happening RC land, does anyone have a Sous Vide cooker? What have you made, liked, disliked, ect.

I have the Anova precision cooker and have made steaks, tuna steaks, chicken but haven't adventured beyond that.

I guess so, although Sous vide isn't really new. I am just trying to see if anyone has been adventurous

I’ll probably get one, they seem to be pretty established and proven as far as being a reputable means of temperature consistency. I’m hard to be convinced from methods other than traditional, I’m a Francis Mallman style cooker that’s for sure, I don’t think you would ever catch him cooking with a sous vide!

I just don’t like the idea of cooking in plastic. I try to eliminate using plastic for cooking as much as I can so I’ve been put off.

I made sous vide steak (in my instant pot:crazy:) and swore I would never cook a steak solely on the barbecue again. Also did some asparagus at the same time. So delicious!
