Alright people.....let's put yer money where yer mouth is. I'll start....but I better not be the only one. At least three other people thought this was a good idea, so I want to see stuff from you too.
like i said, i don't do a whole lot of post most of the time. a liiiiitle bit of cleanup and a couple other small adjustments:
I'll play along... Here are two of my personal favorites. "The Creep" - I thought this was a wasted shot until I had the idea for the processing. It never touched PS - all the processing was in LR2. "Caley" - The SOOC just wasn't what I was going for and so I just decided to play... This was mostly in LR but the soft focus, etc was added later in CS4. Hope you like 'em. I may have a few more when I have a bit more time.
Yes, and also leaving the mole on the neck. Most people over do the skin touch-ups. Yours is very nicely done with out over doing it and leaving these artifacts keeps the reality of the shot. I second the motion for 'nicely done'.
Well I better play or risk ridicule. Or is ridicule in the cards anyway once you see my photos. This is my oldest daughter, Rianne. Before ...and after
i don't think you would ever be subjected to ridicule here for posting your images. perhaps some well intended joking(a-la hutchy and his duckies) but never anything bad.
Cause I talk back. That's the problem with the Internet, with no facial expressions and tone of voice, sarcasm and comedy are often lost.
Here is my contribution. I was fooling around with the camera getting ready to go out and shoot some waves. Grabbed this snap. SOOC: This one I cropped, added a vignette and used a sepia action that is pre-loaded in CS3: I'm not much with ps because I just don't know how to do it. I got the Scott Kelby book yesterday, haven't had a chance to open it yet. I know that the name of the game is to get a good SOOC so that you spend little time processing. This only took a couple of minutes.
Well, then... I really, really, really appreciate the kind words! I stumbled across an incredible little plug-in (not really little, cause it costs $159US and I'm just playing with the 30 day trial right now) called Focal Point by OnOne Software. It's like a tilt/shift selective focus tool in a plug-in. I really like it for portraits!
