i know this will be a stupid question but i don't know what an sb-4 is, i'm guessing a battery?? so what is an sb-4 thanks
It's an AC adapter that you can use with the vivitar 285hv/283. That way you don't have to constantly change the battery in the flash. You will still need a set of battery in the flash to power the varistor but the batteries no longer power the flash itself. As a result, the batteries in the flash can last pretty much forever as your flash is powered by AC.
EDIT: Some pictures added:
I have a 283 and would love to get my hands on this little jem. Any idea if the reciever would be compatible with the opus OPL-WTS, http://www.opusprophoto.com/products/accessories/general.html
Not sure if the receiver will work, you can always come and try it. Are you looking to get the whole flash + adapter or just the adapter? I have a new adapter that will work with the 283, and also the 285 + another adapter. Someone is suppose to come and pick up he 285 + adapter tonight for the original asking price of $80 but hasn't showed up yet. Let me know what you specifically want and I'll see what I can do.
are we still a go for the superclamp?
The superclamp was me ! And yes!
mmm I'm not the one with the superclamp combo this is the sb-4 combo
if no one picks this up in the next few weeks i'm interested :P....just gotta wait...i'm moving up to alberta for the summer in a few days so i'll have to wait until i'm working.
well, I was interested in the flash, adapter, and receiver. but if you have an adapter for the 283 also i would take that off your hands as well. If he doesn't show up I'm just across the harbor and would love to come test it out. how much for all of that?
Thanks a bunch
