I want to see these lance 80lb dumbbell flies
he said he can prove it
Good for you big guy. How come the fact that I'm stating all of what I can lift effects YOU so much? Are you threatened by it? Upset over it? What is it?Fl
I'm 21 years of age. At least I can say, at this age, for one who doesn't play any rec. sports or anything and hasn't for years, that I can still get off my lazy ass at age 21 and motive myself to get in shape, stay in shape and contribute myself to being and staying healthy.
Cables flies, not dumbbell flies.
sorry dude, but i cant be threatened/upset by vague, inaccurate information.
but good on you for becoming active, gold star.
if youre going to state what youve "accomplished" then perhaps you need to be a bit more specific... such as stating you are doing flies... most ppl (as you can see) will assume youre referring to
free weights, however you were referring to cable flies... there's a considerable difference there.
but again, grats on your gains.
Apologies in return for not being a tad bit more specific.
Nevertheless, the fact that I am able to actually look at myself in the mirror without having self pity feels great and I'm hoping to make this a continuous routine.
Here's a question - In regards to bulking, aside from buying an $80 tub of protein and/or weight gainers, is there anything else I could look into regarding better foods?
A buddy at the gym tells me to just eat, eat and eat. Only assuming that will just make me gain a ton of weight and fat and not help.
I'm still such a rookie with all of this stuff but any tips or whichever would be much appreciated!
If you want to bulk then you need to accept the fact that you will gain some body fat in the process. If you want to gain mass you need to eat big and lift big.
Not surprised the last post in this thread was on Christmas day.
Anyone else hate themselves for eating so much turkey and sweets?
Back to the gym today, got some nice new workout gear from a very supportive family... did another Costco protein run gonna been eating chicken breasts and salmon like a villian this week.
Oh and Ourid, you'd be proud of me, I bought that 4lb bag of Quinoa... now to figure out how to make it taste good...
Just add a bit of chicken stock to it. Not a lot.
Im actually pretty happy with how I did over the holidays. Save for the big meals on Xmas day/NYE. Pretty much stuck to my routine.
I toss a tsp of this stuff in when I cook half a cup
Got on the scale today and somehow I lost 0.8 lbs since December 19th.. I think I'm doing Christmas wrong.
Gained 7lbs and also got stronger over the holidays. Not completely complaining lol.
Lost two pounds so stayed the same haha. i haven't supped in over a month too feeling nice.
Holy Shit Quinoa is delicous!
Rice cooker FTW
Ok, so I'm on the verge of cracking the 200lbs mark, something I haven't done in years so I'm definitely seeing progress!
I'm stronger, and feel more agile then when I started...
How's everyone else doing with their new years resolutions??
Also, I've been eating Quinoa for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week, what other healthy and delicious super foods are you hipsters hiding from us?
And don't say Tofu, that shit is disgusting.
So, where are you folks buying the Quinoa? I did a quick look around the health food section at Sobey's (which is tiny compared to the one at Superstore) and didn't see any.
Cool - I don't get over there that much. I'm gonna take a look at Superstore and see if they have it.
Edit - it appears they have the PC Organics Quinoa
Edit again - I guess you an make pancakes from Quinoa....
Superstore locally has quinoa in both the healthy section and the rice section... Love it! So many things you can do with it!
Costco I guess has the best price, $9.99 for 4lbs.
It's super easy to make in a rice cooker, so far I've done huge batches and just dived them up over the daily meals for the week.
Gotta get some and try it tonight.
My wife made Quinoa burgers in the summer super tasty
We just signed up for the Spartan Race! That should r a good motivator!
How's everyone doing with their 2013 fitness goals?
We're 2 weeks into the year, everyone still keeping their resolutions?
I'm running 10 minute miles now with relative ease... might not sound like a lot to you gym buffs, but it's "miles above" where I was when I started back in the gym...
What's everyone taking for pre-work out? White floods not cutting it.
Cup of coffee 30-45min before my workout is my only pre workout mix.
Sent from my Nexus⁴
I usually have a shake pre workout with a caffeine pill. I reached my first goal which was to total 505kg at provincials and it was enough to win my weight class. Also reached my goal of cracking 500lbs (518lbs) on the deadlift already.
Next step is to get down to the mid 180's and qualify for nationals by the end of the year.
I haven't taken a prework out in a long l time, i use to be all about them, but who knows what the fuck is actually in them so i said fuck it.
actually i haven't taken any sups in a while actually and its going just as well when i did.
If youre hell bent on getting a pre workout supp. Driven sports "Craze" is probably the best out there, I also really liked using Allmax's Razor8. Cellucor's C4 is one to look at. I personally didnt like it, but my Cousin swears by it.
Razor 8 all the way. It gives you that jolt you need to get things in action. Tastes good as well.
Mt fitness goals this year to eat better and increase my squat without destroying my knee. So far I have cut out bread and beer.
i just had five guys, .. eating better fail.
