Nah, Mazda is JUST ford.. Nissan is the Japanese manufacturer that, in my mind, is on par with Ford.

Ford and Mazda have done some technology sharing in the 90's and I don't think the relation ship has gone much more past that?

In 1979 ford bought a 25% stake in Mazda and in the 90's increased it to 33.4% which is about all. I don't think that Ford has enough control to say that the own Mazda but they have worked together on alot of projects in the past.

The Ford Motor Company has owned 25% of Mazda since 1979, and its stake was increased to a 33% controlling interest in 1992.

No its not what we've been reading about.

That person works at the Canadian Tire though, so it's always parked there.
