Does it look like a wedding/engagement ring? I would never be able to cash it in.. I would feel horrible for the person who lost it (them being a dummy or not )
Was this ring attached to a finger in the snow bank? If so, you should at least call that in. Don't mention the ring though
Looks like an engagement ring. Chances are I won't be able to find out who owns it. I'll keep an eye out for lost ads though over the next week. It was in a snow bank from a plow at the end of a large parking lot. So who knows how long it has been there.

post a pic. you might be better off selling the ring to a jeweler and selling the rock on ebay. Loose stones catch a mint on Ebay for the right cut/color/clarity.

I'd never be able to keep it either. My Father metal detects and he has hundreds of rings from over the years and he always tried to help people find rings they've lost. Free diamond rings from Daddy ftw.
Well, being that most people insure their valuables... I don't know why one should feel bad in this situation. I do somewhat feel bad who place sentimental value on material possessions, but that has little to do with this.
Oh come on, Pat.. The bling bling says it all Seriously though.. it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I would certinaly be quite upset if I lost something of value like that. Maybe I'm the minority on that, but its how I feel
you would think, but maybe the ring w as a little loose, and fell off when she was taking off her gloves to get in a car? Totally pulled that from nowhere.. but you never know I guess
cute ring though... emerald and white gold i think. i think he paid 600.. if anyone is interested....
