Moving servers around. I know all four of you will be distraught but hang in there
Five. There's five of us. Gawd!
come on boots terrible do that after hrs
should be good to go.
clear cache if not working
although if not working, probably won't be able to read this
Also messed with it a lot this weekend.. I think I'm done for now
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
I've completely dockerized the server. Everything is running in containers now. Makes my life so much easier. Can easily add new services to it now ouird
ERROR!! ERROR!!! CAN'T UPLOAD PICTURES OF OLD BUSTED FAR EQUIPMENT!!!!!
Could you upload before?
I could copy/paste before yeah - or upload images
What error are you getting now?
I think I fixed it. Was missing an image processing library. Try it out.
Yay it works again!
English translation please?
Think of it like this.... the server used to run a few applications like this:
mysql - the database (rc, app1, app2)
apache - the web server (rc, app1, app2)
Both had a few different sites/services that I host. If for any reason I had to restart either of those services, everything came down. Now it's setup like this:
rc - mysql
rc - apache
app1 - mysql
app1 - apache
app2 - mysql
app2 - apache
each container runs in it's own virtual environment isolated from the rest of the system and I can work in any one and not affect the other. It's very useful and makes managing the server way easier.
Obviously, I'm not a nerd lol
I've definitely achieved nerd status lol
Today I figured out how to pass docker dns & dns lookup values. Made my life easier as well.
And a shell script to comment out active triggers in jenkins jobs.
do you use docker compose or just plain docker?
Just plain docker at the moment.
Sounds like a lot of docking *dockingsmiley*
