    The founder of the weather channel saying that global warming is not real and he has 30 000 scientists who want to sue al gore.

    Note how in the video the man says you will never see this info on TV simply because they don't want you to know the truth.

    and please no stupid stuff. If you honestly don't care, then don't reply

    thanks,

    I like when Al Gore used this pic in his "Inconvenient Truth" movie......

    [IMG]

    ...and said it was a shot of two "stranded" Polar Bears feeling the effects of global warming and how it showed the eventual demise of the Polar Bear. Al saw the photo and he used it...“Their habitat is melting… beautiful animals, literally being forced off the planet,” Mr. Gore said, with the photo on the screen behind him. “They’re in trouble, got nowhere else to go.” The audience members let out gasps of sympathy. :lol:

    Someone must have forgot to tell Al that Polar Bears can swim and shit cause the photo was actually taken two years prior to when they said it was (they used this photo in major newspapers the day the United Nations released its major Global Warming report) and it was taken by an Australian marine biology student, on a field trip in the summer, when every year the fringes of the Arctic ice cap melt regardless.

    He told Canada’s National Post, “You have to keep in mind that the bears are not in danger at all. This is a perfect picture for climate change…you have the impression they are in the middle of the ocean and they are going to die…But they were not that far from the coast, and it was possible for them to swim…They are still alive and having fun.”.

    Oh Al.....you and that silly United Nations Global Warming report. :kekeke: ...and now you won't even accept anyone else's research at all or even debate with the 30000+ scientists (and the weather channel dude) who are calling you out. *tisk* *tisk*

    ...what happened with the whole "Ozone hole" thing? Where did that hype go?

    ...and back in the 70's, they were calling for another Ice Age???

    Global Warming? Ozone hole? Ice Age? Which is it?

    here's a cool article i found:

    Despite a court ruling in the United Kingdom barring the showing of Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" in public schools without an explicit disclaimer that it is "partisan," "political" and is riddled with misleading exaggerations and factual errors, the movie continues to be shown in public schools across America as if it were holy writ.
    Forget that. Holy writ would never be allowed in government schools in the U.S.

    Since the October ruling across the pond, Gore's agit prop flick has been shown in hundreds of classrooms and school auditoriums to captive audiences of impressionable kids as dogma, fact, the real McCoy and the last word on global warming.

    For instance, a glance at recent local newspapers reveals recent showings in schools in Iowa City, Iowa; Bethel, Conn.; New Hanover County, Del., and Howard, Md.

    In California, the state school superintendent invited the producer of the film, Laurie David, to speak before the Green California School Summit, billed as "the largest sustainable summit and expo to focus on bringing green technology and natural products into K-12 schools in California."

    That's a "convenient" way to ensure the movie will be shown to more captive audiences of impressionable kinds in more schools in the nation's largest state.

    Does anyone in America get what's going on here?

    Your kids and grandkids are being brainwashed!

    It's so blatant, in this case, with the showing of this fantasy epic that even the socialist UK has put strict limits on it.

    Maybe some concerned parent needs to do what one did in the United Kingdom.

    When the UK Department of Education purchased thousands of copies of Al Gore's film and mandated that it be shown to all public secondary school children in the country, one parent stood up and challenged the promotion of this single, narrow point of view.

    His name is Stuart Dimmock, the father of a secondary school student who would have been victimized by the decision of the education bureaucrats. May God increase his flock.

    Dimmock noted UK educrats distributed the movie to teachers with this plea: "The debate over the science of climate change is well and truly over. … Our energies should now be channeled into … moving to a low carbon future."

    How's that for open-mindedness and fostering dialogue and diversity of thought?

    It continued: "Children are the key to changing society's long term attitude to the environment. Not only are they passionate about saving the planet, but children also have a big influence over their own family's lifestyles and behavior."

    In other words, this is not about educating kids. This is about manipulating children to be societal change agents. What do you call it when the government, under the guide of "education," attempts to condition people to think a certain way and act a certain way? I call it mind control. I call it fascism.

    Even a court in a socialist country that has embraced this kind of mind control has ruled against it in this case because it is so blatant and relies on outright deception and lies.

    Here's what the UK court singled out as falsehoods in the movie:

    that sea levels will rise 20 feet in the foreseeable future due to ice melts;

    that people are evacuating Pacific island nations because of rising sea levels;

    that the "oceanic conveyor" belt is in danger of shutting down and triggering a new ice age;

    that rising atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have historically caused temperatures to rise;

    that global warming is causing a retreat of Mount Kilimanjaro's alpine glacier;

    that global warming is causing Africa's Lake Chad to dry up;

    that global warming contributed to Hurricane Katrina;

    that polar bears are dying due to receding sea ice;

    that global warming is causing coral reefs to bleach and die.
    This is the very heart of Gore's film! It has all been ruled a fraud in a court of law. Yet American schoolchildren are still being massively subjected to this torturous propaganda.

    I can't say I'm surprised that the U.S. education establishment would attempt to brainwash its subjects in this way. But I guess I'm a little disappointed that more American parents haven't done what Stuart Dimmock did – fight back!

    Which, oddly enough, has very little circular change (except on the road courses). :kekeke:

    Frank Zappa said it best Levi,

    "The illusion of freedom in America will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way, then they will pull back the curtains and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater." - Frank Zappa

    Well, did you know that they just banned smoking in apartments in parts of California?

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/27/us/27belmont.html?ref=health

    Can you imagine not being able to smoke in your own home???

    The brick wall approaches.....:lol:

    It's not your own home, it's a rental that's owned by somebody else and has common walls with other people, was the brick wall approaching when they stopped letting you smoke in rental cars?

    A rental car (which you will be in once) is a lil' different than being told you can't smoke where you pay rent to live all the time, no?

    Not really, if you have a baby in your apt, do you really want the smoke from your neighbors permeating from the hallways, etc into your apt for your baby to inhale? I suppose you are against legislation preventing people from smoking with children in the car because they are trying to control us right?

    Honestly, regardless of whether global warming is accurate or not, I think treating the earth a little nicer isn't necessarily a bad idea.

    Who does? Now, what if I DON'T have a baby and just want to sit on my own couch and have a smoke?

    It's not really about who has smoke around who, but rather rights being taken away. ;)

    ...I mean, if I told you 15, 10, even 5 years ago that they would ban you from smoking in your own apartment, would you believe it?

    It's a sloooowwww process, you ban smoking first in places that make sense, like workplaces. Then you ban it at restaurants/bars (but still have a smoking section), then restaurant/bars completely. Then cars with kids in them, then rentals cars, then all cars. Now apartments and then eventually in your own home. It happens so systematically, you don't even notice it.

    Personally, I think it's great - the less smoke around anyone is good.....why not just ban smoking altogether?

    But like I said, it's not the actual smoking that is the subject here, it's the fact that the whole smoking ban is a microcosm for all other freedoms that are slowly being swept out from under people (mostly in the USA, mind you).

    Governments should not have the right to tell people what they can and cannot due inside their own dwelling (as long as it is legal and last time I checked, smoking is still legal). That's the point here. :) Maybe the governments could pull this stuff in Nazi Germany, but we take pride in the fact that we have freedom and this law takes away peoples' freedoms.

    I'm all for that legislation....but the no smoking in the place you live thing is a little controlling to me, yes. I agree with the principle, but not the process.

    I'm okay with them taking away 'freedoms' that hurt peoples health (those who do and who do not smoke), and our health care system, which is already in shambles.

    I also agree that MANY health-related freedoms should be taken away....we have too many rights in some cases. :D

    I think if the gov't has to step in to save you from doing something stupid to yourself, and you complain about it, you should be embarrassed.
