Macdonald bridge is the old bridge (Old Macdonald).
We had a tornado warning in Stanley (20 mins outside Fredericton) Saturday. Apparently something touched down although it wasn't reported because family out there posted pictures of a section/line of tress that were flattened!
I missed the one here today, I was driving back from NB.
Warning back in effect.

Severe thunderstorm warning for
Halifax Metro and Halifax County West ended
just got home from sackville, was pretty crazy out there for a bit. hail dented the car a bit.
We were 5min outside Porters Lake and had to pull off the highway. Couldn't see 5feet in front of you. Hail, rain &lightning. No dents thankfully, but I was worried the windshield was going to smash out based on the sound.
On at 7:10, off at 7:38...
Warnings don't usually last too long, they mean there is either a storm (or tornado) happening or imminent. Powerful storms move pretty fast, so 28 minutes is enough. The watches are what are longer lasting and predicted further in advance.
I'm not seeing a funnel cloud in the pics, though....
Good luck to you all and stay safe!
Pat, we don't ever get anything like you'd be used to. I've been through some minor t-storms in Florida that make our worst case scenario look lame I'd assume Texas sees the same ones!
Man we get some gnarly storms here, that's for sure. Couple weeks ago we had about 8 tornados in the area and hail up to 2.5" in diameter.
Think about that for a minute... 2.5" hail. That is HUGE. That will smash right through sunroofs and windshields, house windows are toast... your roof is basically destroyed after. Roofing companies make huge money here, heh.
Interestingly, you kind of get used to it. I slept through 2.5" hail on my metal roof a couple years back, just an afternoon nap.
Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with me, lol. Tornados, lightning, hail, wildfires, snakes, coyotes, a nice coating of pure ice on everything a couple of times in winter... I need to move.
EDIT: And every day the shit above isn't happening, it is over 100F.
So now my Facebook timeline is filled with storm videos and hands holding hail
Honestly, you'd think we've never seen a storm before
we've all seen dogs, cats, babies & kids, but people post them too
hahaha, good point :P
