Jesus. Don't cut off a tractor trailer. That grey heap is a Chevrolet Silverado.

His statement doesn't make sense. People in government jobs pay the same tax rates we do. There are plenty of teachers that have and will pay more taxes over their lifetime than you will.

Yes, but their crazy high wages are paid for by people making far less being taxed to death.

Its great if you want to support these people living the life of Riley off the backs of people working at Tim Horton's.

    Not fair.

I work for the government in the trades, and the private sector trades people makes a lot more than government tradespeople. Tim Horton's employees are also in the government union where I work. I pay $120 month for cheap parking and $1000 in unions dues annually. So my already lower wage is dinged pretty good. Just wanted to state these facts where I work. (Provincial Government)

Exactly. I am by NO means living it up off the backs of anyone. There is no such thing as cheap parking (I bus instead). I also second the union dues, pension, taxes, etc that comes off. There's not much left for take home after all that.

From the sounds of things you two actually work - I know more than a couple that only get a pay cheque because of their existence in a union; it's certainly not because of their work ethic.... especially when they brag about how little they do...

I think that goes with pretty much every profession. Who hasn't been in a job where you have slackers who only show up to stand and around and waste air.

I just think its stupid to brush everyone with the same brush, all unions are stupid, government employees don't work, teachers are over paid baby sitters, etc. Gotta be pretty narrow minded to think like this.

Now this is a technological breakthrough ....

A PERTH man has successfully patented and will soon begin selling a cross between a hamburger and a hotdog - dubbed the “Hamdog” - across the country.

Most people who bitch and complain about Gov or unions can't pass the tests or get screened in so they resort to bitching and complaining.

Never applied for a union job, just an observer from the outside.

Wasn't sure... On that note I didn't realize people didn't make it in  the individuals I have in mind - let's just say I'm surprised they somehow passed a test if that's indeed the case :|
