A friend of mine is looking into getting new seats for his car, particularly black or grey leather racing seats w/ 4 pt harness... any suggestions on good names? He'd like something a little cheaper then momo, but doesnt want to end up with something not worth the money... any thoughts??

Sparco and corbeau offer their seats in leather, but they run around the area of $2K per seat.

Also don't get a 4 point harness unless you've got a full (And functional) cage. Bad idea.

Leather racing seats are hard to find because leather isn't the ideal seating surface when you want to be planted. I'd much rater have a deep fabric seat.

Depends on how you define street. Street-legal cars can do plenty of racing that would benefit from a good seat.

C'mon Stuie you can tell them about the new Bimm...er I mean junk you bought :D

And just to prove I'm not thread jacking, Sparco makes a seat thats half decent, has FIA approval and is in the $300 range. Thinking of putting one in the rocco.

In the case of an everyday driving car that doesn't see the track. Yep. Why make yourself uncomfortable as hell just so you look like you have a race car? :wtf: Any mod that sacrifices comfort for no gains in performance is a waste of money imo.

Oh and stu, by street car, I mean a car that is driven soley on public roads.
