The HM 5.0 is hot, but the top one has way too small of wheels.

I'll find the power output or call them, they're doing my conversion anyway. :D

Yeah, in about 1 year or maybe 1.5 (if I decide to have BMW Individual repaint it and redo the interior, we'll see.. but most likely) they're going to do a motor swap, suspension, driveline/transmission, brakes and that's about it. Probably some M3 CSL wheels (fronts all the way 'round, it's a sedan after all) and some minor other things. Maybe BBS LM but they are kinda played on 3s...

...but I have to get another car first, so I will have something to drive.. so I have to sell the GSR and get something that I can actually stand to drive for the 3 months it's away...

EDIT: I've been talking to them about this since before I even bought my car. Had to make sure I got the right one. :D

They're supplying the motor, actually. It will be a Euro-spec motor which has more hp than the US version.

Pretty sure the stock X5 4.8is comes with about 325hp, not sure what the Hamann pkg gives it. Not a big fan of Hamann in particular. Personally I like the look of a stock X5 with out the chrome and the rims. BMW does pretty good in the stock rim dept. I find that a lot of the well known BMW tuners only cater to those wanting aero kits and the ones who are living off of daddy's trust fund. . Grossly overpriced, sort of like designer clothes, big price tag means big profit because of low manufacturing costs. The only big name that I think warrants the name is Steve Dinan. I know one of their fab guys, and they are doing some pretty cool suspension stuff for the new 5's and 6's right now. But When it really comes down to it, performance wise, the only good tuner is their own M dept

Pat you're definitly going to like the M5 motor. A good friend of the guy I work for has one in an E46 M3, that he races at open track days etc. Motor is professionally built as well and makes close to 500hp :D Not too shabby.

Nah, it's like a conversion. I'm not going to put any badges on or anything like that. It's basically like a motor swap, lol, but I want things like stability control and traction control to work. With the PCM that I have in there, that simply isn't going to be possible.. and you can't just buy one/relfash it apparently. *shrug* It's actually pretty cool and the whole ordeal isn't terribly expensive. It's probably just a bit more than what I spent total on my GSR. *shrug*

There are a lot of tuners out there that do a whole hell of a lot more than styling. Thing is, that's what people want. Eh, it's thier loss I guess.

BTW: Stock 4.8iS has 355hp and 360tq. Not shabby at all! Weighs just over 5000lbs, though.. yikes!

Cause the japs are too small and design their cars as such.
