There are just a few pics I have taken around PEI.

The close ups are from my moms garden....had to play with the macro setting

lol that's funny. I've been going back and forth to Georgetown and the sunset is about the only thing to shoot there. When it's not blowing and freezing.

I used to fly over there from Sydney quite often when Nickerson's owned the fish plant there. It was pretty desolate in the Winter for sure. Nothing left to shoot of the remnants of the fishery . . ? Must be some old rusted fishing gear still around.

Well for my 2 cents on the photos ( about what it's worth too ) . . . the power line ruins #1. Can you clone it out? I'd rather see # 2 cropped quite a bit off the top and darkened a bit. I like #3 for what it is. Number 4 is totally out of focus I think.

I agree about the power lines on #1 - I love the scene, but the power line ruins the atmosphere. I actually like # 4 - I see the water drops as being relatively sharp - was this what you meant to be in focus?

That's funny, Nickerson fish plant? I'm a Nickerson. There are mostly abandonment there now. My son goes to Holland College there. Just got him back from the holidays and had to go get him over the weekend to start on the job training.
    Off topic.

    1. The power line. Be careful of what is in your viewfinder when you click the shutter.
    2. Looks good, but, I think would be more interesting on a fall day when the leaves are turning, or snow covered.
    3. Interesting.
    4. Needs to be sharpened.
I am also looking at these on an uncalibrated laptop monitor. So, I usually don't offer that much in the lines of critique. I also consider myself a noob as well.

I found a great site that you might be interested in:

Keep practicing. Even if there is lots of snow and ice over there. Oh and cold. :)

i don't use or even have photoshop.....so i guess i should invest in it :p

I am starting to get into photography and am trying to get a start.....

and i was trying to get the water drops as the main point of focus....it was just after a rain storm and i thought it would be fun to try and get :)
