Saving Photoshop file to a .jpeg

    I have .jpeg file and I edit it in photoshop and when I try to save it as a jpeg it won't let me. How can I get around this?

    Not sure if this works with photoshop, but you can try renaming the file in windows explorer and putting the .jpg extension on it.

    I have only seen this work a few times, but it is worth the shot

    First, it has to be in RGB Color Mode (to check goto Image - Mode - RGB Color......if it was opened as a jpeg, it already should be)

    Then goto File - Save As - and select JPEG from the list......it might tell you that you have to save it as a copy......if so just edit the filename and remove the word COPY

    probably cause you have layers..

    use "save for web"
