Lots of people seem to have praise for Eneloops in flashes, one thing thats put me off of buying them is something admittedly stupid. They're just standard NiMH batteries, right? There's nothing special about the charging? I've already got 3 or 4 chargers and I really don't want to get into another system but I haven't seen anything that says one way or another. (Which probably means there's nothing to say. ) I have to get some more reliable batteries for my flash, I've had two brand new sets of Energizer 2500mAh's crap out on me in the last year when the Kodak brand 1800mAh's I bought for my Kodak DC210 digital camera in 1999 still motor on fine, go figure.
I've just been using one of my other chargers on them, and haven't had any problems with them. They claim to have no or much lower charge memory as well, so that they should last much longer before they become unusable..
I've upgraded all my batteries to Eneloops. The nice thing it that I can charge them and put them in my bag for 6 months and when I need them, they are still 90%+ charged. They do have a slightly lower mAh rating than others, but they seem to take serious abuse...
cool great to know.. thanks i just started printing at costo im quite impressed.. i'll check out the batteries to
