I dont do recipes... because I never have ingredients, but I make these amazing salmon patties that are generally the same, so you should make them too. Take a can (for 2 people) or 2 cans (for 4 people) of canned salmon Take out the skin and bones, because skin and bones is fucking gross Throw in some mayo (or dill sauce/salad dressing, which i prefer) Throw in some salt and pepper throw in an egg throw in some chopped up dill - dont be stingy, the dill is the best part squeeze some lemon in, because fuck yeah its good crush up some crackers (or whatever you got) and throw them in (i like using triscuits) and maybe a splash of mustard, if you want a little zing mix around with your hands, make sure its the consistency needed to make patties (if not, throw in whatever you need to throw in) Throw patties in frying pan Fry until, you know, warm and browning throw on bun w/ lettus, tomato and more dill sauce fucking amazing Updated with fucking pics, because I like to procrastinate on everything else in my life. Fucking gross canned salmon Lookin better - no more bones/skin + dill sauce, dill, crackers, mustard, salt, pepper, egg, lemon mixed patties cookin dinner! too much time on my hands!!
Same I used to work in a grocery store for over five years and never came across canned salmon with skin and bones in it. What brand is it? Fucking gross, indeed.
Not necessary? I love me a good, fresh pacific salmon.. but you aren't going to get much good fresh seafood in AB.
I've gone through every brand. None of them specify that they have bones or not, but every brand I've bought has some. They are usually chopped up and pretty small, and I'm told when you cook the salmon they become pretty mushy.... but I still go through it a number of times with my hands and take out any bones I can find, and any skin too.
Weird. I've only ever ate Clover Leaf or Gold Seal and they've never had any skin in them, save for the odd tiny piece of bone now and then.
I've seen lots of canned salmon with skin and bones. So much so I refuse to eat it from a can now. Actually I've never seen canned salmon without pieces of bone in it. Fresh only for this cat.
Something about meat/fish in a can grosses me out I always buy the High Liner frozen wild salmon. That recipe sounds delicious, i'll definetly have to give it a whirl.
