    Just heard on the radio that Rutledge at the Oaklawn Farm Zoo was put down. :(

    But as a happy, they said that the average age of a lion is 15(?) years and he was almost 18. :happysad:

    I heard that too. He lived longer than the expected life of captive lions.

    That's true. I was thinking about that when they were saying it on the radio.. that would suck to live in such a small cage.

    I think the animals up there are treated pretty well. The lions have a very large area and he had lots of bitches. :lol:

    He was the largest lion in captivity at 800 and some odd pounds. RIP Rutledge
