    here's an idea...

removed the buddy function.. seeing as it serves no purpose. Most of the people in there like to be hidden anyways....

but replace it with a much better search function for this site.

I use search feature on average at least once a week. but I hate entering a word like "eclipse" and it gives me a total search on the ENTIRE site of all eclipse topics or threads.

know what I mean? like I'll have "eclipse for sale - in for sale forum"
    Lunar eclipse - realityC forum..

what I'm asking is if it's possible to have a search function for individual forums.
Keep in mind the example I used obviously doesn't come up with much.. but try using more general words, and you'll run into the prob I'm stating.

    just a suggestion.

What Boots is trying to say is that you can use the Quick Search
button at the top and if your in a forum it will only search that forum
and nothing else on the board.

...and what I'm saying is that I tried just that, and it didn't work. :)

what boots means is not the "quick search " but simply the search button next to FAQ.

No, she was right. I'm talking about the quick search.

I assumed you were talking about the Quick Search. How could you do a search on average once a week and not notice this:

hrmm maybe cause when I mean "quick search" I'm actually talking about where it "quick search" That is the meaning of a quick search isn't it? just type in word, no drop downs etc.. needed, click enter and you've just completed a "quick search"

how can you run a site an overlook that option? why have 2 options to begin with.

lol, and to think one day you may be reproducing together in the same gene pool! ;)

lay down the crack pipe and explain yourself.

Search - allows you to search specific forums. Always has.
Quick Search - searches whatever forum you are currently browsing. Has done so since post 3 in this thread.

I can't lay it down any more simple then that. If you STILL can't figure it out, just don't bother replying because your beyond help

...lol, don't think I could stress this out anymore....

It does not work. try again Mr. computer guy.

type in "pics" as example... it still gives me a search on the entire site.

    wanna try again?

If I go into a forum, and type something in the quick search it always populates all the results only in that forum... for me it works everytime!

    found the problem.

change your board style to darkblack as I have it and try it.

when I changed it to default it worked, and now that I put it back, it doesn't.

bootsie, u got some fixerupin to do!

Your 120% wrong. If I was going to fuck with your account, I'd do something better then mess with a search feature.

PM your password and I can log in and try it under your username if you like.

after many attemps of trying...... I found the problem..

reason I thought you fucked with it, was because I went through the hassel of creating an another account. and it worked then.

although a new acount falls by default on the green screen. thus how I found out.

I thought your mspaint messed with the colours... I'm not going to finish it because the next version of the board (in the next few months) is going to be blacked out like I wanted to do in the first place

    green = :gay:

That is possibly the fugliest style ever. It's gross, and looks half finished.

you're shitting me? you'd much rather have the puke green glaring at your eyes the whole time? I find this to be more soothing.

to each his own I guess.

Yes, I like the green :) The other style just has no flow.

And you still get bits and peices of the puke green, which I may add, was strongly influened by Pat and I if I recall correctly :happysad:
