Anyone sporting a radar detector in thier car ?

If so, what model and does it work as well as they advertise ?

Any that you know of that the Spectra RDD can't pickup ?

Im thinking of getting a Beltronics 980

If you're going to rock one, rock an up to date V1. if not, don't bother.

Mine works great, saved my ass a few times. Cops are so dumb they never even notice the thing. Although I had a close call once, where I had to shove it down my pants to hide it from the cops! lol

Between Mt Uniacke and Sackvegas. Starts around the landfill hill. You can see the white marks painted on the road every 500 meters. Basically a plane will fly overhead, and by measuring the time it takes you to pass the marks, they can calculate your speed, and radio to a cop car to pull you over.

V1 is so expensive though, its like $399USD or $545CAD
I don't think I can spare that much change right now.

the spectra RDD is the only radar detector detector that the RCMP uses correct?

I got busted last fall with a Radar Detector that supposedly had VG-2 "Cloaking". It didn't, and it was detected by the cops. 645 $ fine here in Quebec. :(
