Online motorsports website pairs with premier motorsports trade show RacingTrader.ca, a website designed to assist race teams, has partnered with the premier motorsports trade show in Canada, the upcoming CPT Racing Experience presented by CASE ‘N DRUM OIL LP and Kendall Motor Oil (January 24 and 25, 2009 in London, ON). In working as promotional partners, Racing Trader hopes to make new impressions in the Southwestern Ontario market while CPT Entertainment Inc. – the company producing the CPT Racing Experience – has turned to Racing Trader to help spread the word about the event itself. “I was looking to grow Racing Trader in the Ontario market,” said Mark Williams, founder of Racingtrader.ca. “What better place than a swap meet for buyers and sellers in that region?” Williams, who is from Halifax, Nova Scotia, has been racing since 2000 at Scotia Speedworld. In 2008 Raced in the Maritime Legend Tour. In the summer of 2007 he began an online search for a legend car for sale on the east coast, and was surprised at how little information and free classified ads he could find inside of Canada. “When I looked in the United States, I could find plenty of sites offering help and classifieds,” said Williams, “But not in Canada.” After a few weeks of pondering the idea, Racing Trader was born in August of 2007 as a free classified site where race teams can buy, sell, or trade new and used race cars, race trucks, drag cars, racing karts, race car transporters, race car trailers, racing engines, racing equipment and racing parts. “Over the winter months, I worked hard to build the forum so racers and fans would have an area to call their own,” said Williams. “The forum contains a sub section for each race track in Canada.” The official launch of Racing Trader took place in the spring of 2008 at tracks across Nova Scotia. Meanwhile, the CPT Racing Experience is an event designed to gather the community of those involved in motorsports in Canada; provide resources to people in the motorsports industry (race teams, track operators, related businesses) to help them become more successful; provide resources for people interested in potentially becoming involved in motorsports and provide a first-rate entertainment experience for all in attendance. Response after the inaugural event, which took place in March of 2008, was overwhelmingly positive. “We hope Mark is successful with Racing Trader and hope we can help in some small way,” said Kevin Bulmer of CPT Entertainment Inc. “The idea of providing resources and help to race teams is something we feel strongly about as well.” The CPT Racing Experience presented by CASE ‘N DRUM OIL and Kendall Motor Oil is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24 and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25 at the Western Fair Agriplex in London, Ontario.
