    No. It was in Halifax. Koodo Number based out of Ottawa.

    Still think its tower based. thats was reply from Nova Scotia Government's Emergency Management Office

    I don't have a Ottawa or Que based number. Mines NS

    I was at an event yesterday and people from Halifax as well as Moncton said they received the text at 1:55. Co worker with a Saskatchewan based number for it at that time as well.

    Also maybe thats why I didnt get it. We bounce from LTE and H+ down here. So perhaps because I was outside that the LTE area? :shrug2:

    With the fact that I got the message Tuesday, and given the messages above, I'm going to go head and assume that no one really knows how it works :lol:

    Having said this; I activated the number Monday and have already had a phone call for the previous owner from a Creditor in Toronto, so I know it was a recently active phone number.

    Well wouldn't the towers here in Halifax have associated the SIM Card/number as being geolocated here? Seems to have for Arod's associate from Saskatchewan as mentioned above

    yeah odd. would like to see an official response why its happened. The idea is say a earthquake in Truro, it would get sent to the people in that area. People in Toronto shouldnt get it regardless if you're from NS or not.
