Got it on telus. 0/2 on our bell phones
except i have bell... oh i see what you did there haha
it was more of a shot at me being on Koodo. The same network he's on with Telus
6:55 last night in NB. Got it on our Virgin phones and Bell FibeTV
Ottawa based number Tuesday
Nova Scotia based number Wednesday
Dewie when you say Ottawa based.. you mean it was in Ottawa?
No. It was in Halifax. Koodo Number based out of Ottawa.
Scott said these alerts are tower based?
wouldn't be the first time Scott was wrong I guess
Yeah and certainly not the last Scott
Still think its tower based. thats was reply from Nova Scotia Government's Emergency Management Office
I don't have a Ottawa or Que based number. Mines NS
I was at an event yesterday and people from Halifax as well as Moncton said they received the text at 1:55. Co worker with a Saskatchewan based number for it at that time as well.
Maybe you're not as dumb as you look....
Also maybe thats why I didnt get it. We bounce from LTE and H+ down here. So perhaps because I was outside that the LTE area?
With the fact that I got the message Tuesday, and given the messages above, I'm going to go head and assume that no one really knows how it works
Having said this; I activated the number Monday and have already had a phone call for the previous owner from a Creditor in Toronto, so I know it was a recently active phone number.
If it was issued by the liberals, all of Alberta would not have gotten an alert.
I never got it, on Eastlink
Work for a carrier. It's geolocation based.
Then why did I get the Ottawa one?
i thought it was a shot cause bell is terrible hahaha
Well wouldn't the towers here in Halifax have associated the SIM Card/number as being geolocated here? Seems to have for Arod's associate from Saskatchewan as mentioned above
yeah odd. would like to see an official response why its happened. The idea is say a earthquake in Truro, it would get sent to the people in that area. People in Toronto shouldnt get it regardless if you're from NS or not.
I got the message on my Eastlink phone, but not on my Rogers work phone.
