Power on Password

I have a Compaq Presario 6000 and when I turn it on I get a big blue box that says "Power-on Password" I've never seen this before anyone know how to get past this?

 

put in the password .. Someone set a password in your bios for bootup, lol

 

Any way to reset it cause I have no clue how it happened?

not without the password.. I think you can pull the bios chip out to reset it..

 

if you pull the battery turn computer on, it will reset
then shut down put battery back in and boot up
or just ask your friend

 

Tried the battery idea and that didn't work. Where exactly are the Bios chips? I really have no idea where to look.

 

its the jumper you have to pull, that means taking the laptop apart
