Does anyone know what parking is like at the Portland hills terminal?? I hear parking is nil after a certain time. Something about not enough spaces to accommodate the volume? Anyone use this, or know at about what time (assuming in the am) is too full to use?

I just moved back to Hali and working d/t .. figure the Link would be the best bet to avoid traffic/high parking costs

    thanks!

If you moved to hali, and are working DT, what do you need that terminal for :happysad:

I'm in eastern passage, i park at the woodside ferry terminal. Parking is free, and the ferry ride is pretty good. Traffic isn't too bad either. Dunno if that helps you or not.

yea i considered the ferry from dartmouth too.. but found out that lot charges a fee.

Portland hills has no fee, nor does Penhorn, which will be my alternative choice as the Link stops there too (not to mention its only a 20 min ride from there and basically drops me off at my works door!). I just didnt want to get involved in any more of the Traffic on Portland st as is, so wanted to do the P.H terminal first. :)

what time of year was this? Summer, winter? I am banking it wont be so bad around 8am or so time, provided that ppl tend to avoid walking this time of year :happysad:

The Alderney lot is cheap even with the $30 monthly fee and purchase of a bus pass. I can't think of many other cities where you could park so close to downtown and pay the small sum of $90.

I took the Link this time last year, leaving from Portland Hills and like she said, the parking lot was full by 8. 7:30 is probably the sweet spot to getting there for a spot. No matter how early you get there, be prepared to throw some elbows to get a decent seat on the bus. People will push you aside there without hesitation.

I take the link from sackville once in a blue moon and I get the first one that leaves sackville... I'm the only person on it most time.

I'd say anytime before 730 you'll be all good, how far do ya live from the terminal/what time do you work

I get on the bus at Portland Hills every day. If yoiu don't get there before 8am, forget about it....just keep on truckin to Penhorn and get on there. Always parking at Penhorn.
